Starry Starry Night

Yesterday a friend and I were chatting in the bus and she told me about their photography club and how their new theme for the week is ‘Night’ and so I immediately cracked a joke about cheating and making cupcakes with stars on them and then just taking a picture of that. She thought I was kidding...

Challenge Accepted.

I am by no means the next great baker, that I truly and honestly know but that doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy baking from time to time, I’ve never attempted something like this before though and I should have known it would end badly.

Firstly I mixed the batter, which was not originally made to be cupcake batter but it just tastes so good so I decided to see how versatile it is. I did not take into account that it might not work completely as cupcake batter at all... I wish I had. What followed was quite amusing.

Siiighh. So I cut out all the bits that malformed them and made them cupcake shape, my brother then swooped in and ate some of the bits I cut off, every now and then coming back for more and eyeing my newly cupcake-shaped cupcakes. This is about the time that I realized I did not have enough of the correct ingredients to make the icing and with my brother on the prowl I had to make some sort of defense mechanism to protect my precious cupcakes.

Yes, I figured out that cupcakes without icing would indeed be naked, also known as muffins...

When I finally got everything for the icing, it was time to make it... only problem is the colourant I wanted to use, sucked. It’s supposed to be black and then da da daaa low and behold:

Not black. Then I added some violet colour, burgundy, royal blue, some other red and more black. Thus:

Still not black. Repeat the process.

Again. Not black. Repeat again.

Close enough, I’m getting tired of this. At this moment I thought my hands were already dirty...

I stared decorating the cupcakes and it was all going well until I ran out of icing and needed to make more. Siiiiigggghhh. Again with the throwing in random colours and hoping they turn out black.
Didn’t happen.

Eventually I finished and I was rather proud! They looked so pretty, my Midnight Cupcakes.

I was planning on stopping here but the cleaning process was also rather comical.

After packing taking a breath of relief that I was almost finished, I looked down at my hands...

Fantastic, this nonsense stains I tell you. It looks like people have been taking my fingerprints all day. So I decided to just rinse everything off so it won’t stain and look like my hands. The water looked awesome.

It reminded me of Van Gogh’s ‘Starry Night’ but moving on, I tossed out that water and put in clean water, then this happened and it looked so creepy to me I just had to take a picture.

As much as I love sugar, I couldn’t resist eating some of the icing, which I now very much regret doing...

Sigh again. Oh well, I could just tell people that I ate a whole lot of lollipops. But the cleaning process is not yet over! I had to wipe off the counters and watch this white rag turn into a lot of different colours. Starting with blue and ending with purple. So not millions of colours but still, I had to rinse it out a few times. At one point I wiped off the table and the cloth turned red... odd. I rinsed it out and wiped the counter, then it turned red again. Confused, I confirmed that none of the cupcakes were bleeding and then I proceeded to check if it was, in fact, myself who was bleeding. I was not... Unable to find the source of the red stuff, I just continued cleaning. At this point it is now dark, very dark outside and seeing as I started out in the morning, I hadn’t eaten all day. I had only been snacking all day of icing and cupcake batter, I can almost feel the blood in my veins turning into red coloured icing sugar...

And now I shall sit down and enjoy a nice plate of spaghetti.

Classified

In life you get a lot of different types of people, if it were on a scale of pure good and pure evil then there will always be grey areas. Very few people are completely evil or completely good. That being said, it brings me to my topic. Life and classes.

Meet Georgie. He’s going to help me prove my point here. Apparently he’s afraid of fire as well.
People are generally classified in three groups. Rogue, Warrior and Mage. I know that you get a lot more than that in games and such but they all basically stem from these three. I believe your personality would be what defines which class you would be put in. Georgie here is portraying the general look of each of the classes, outfit are hopefully not applicable to everyday life.

It may not make sense at the moment, you may think I’m crazy for comparing normal people to games. There aren’t any Warriors, only soldiers and not Rogues just murderers and thieves. Aha but you see I’m not talking about a career choice, I’m literally talking about personality, habit and tendencies of the person in question.

What I’m talking about will soon become clear. Take a Warrior for example, they’re the proud ones, the leaders. A person who is a Warrior would be very protective of their family, a strong leader, determination and never leaves anything unfinished that he/she has started. It has nothing to do with physical attributes. Warriors could be seen as more kind, they could be more helpful in tough situations, true friends, the strong ones. People who achieve a lot in life, who rise above their problems and take the bull by the horns. Warriors are doers, they don’t sit around and wait for something to happen, they do something about it. Some Warriors are incredibly narcissistic some are very humble, it all depends on the background of the person, how they were raised and also their personality traits.  They are almost always admired and almost everyone would like to be like them. They are by no means perfect, everybody does have their faults, weaknesses and such. More often than not, a warrior hates failing.

A Rogue would be someone who is able to lie very well, they may not use this talent often but they do possess it. Someone who doesn’t necessarily like the spotlight or a lot of attention. They tend not to trust everyone they meet. Maybe they even like wearing black and like knives. They most probably prefer daggers to swords too. A Rogue could be seen as someone you think you know, but most probably don’t, they’re defensive and don’t like letting people in. Some might be greedy, longing to be rich or have one of everything in the world. Some may be lazy. It is possible to get a kleptomaniac in the mix. Not all Rogues are bad though, policemen and women who go undercover often and do a damn good job of it are most likely Rogues. They’re good at planning, as one might expect, not just murders and such, sometimes their own life, if their satisfied that their plan is fool-proof, they will stick to it. Rogues have good imaginations, they’re able to make up stories on the spot and make you believe every single word they say, which comes back to the lying talent. Rogues most likely hate being caught.

Mages are different. I’m not saying they’re freaks that need to be cast out of society but there is definitely something that separates them from the norm. Mostly a Mage might be more intelligent than others, or they’re just fast learners. A lot of them have photographic memories. What makes a Mage, a Mage would generally be tied to the use of magic, now I’ve never seen anyone do magic except these silly party tricks on the sidewalk, but if you would be able to do magic, it would mean a part of your brain is functioning differently. Again, they are not freaks or misfits, they really are great. They’re generally kind-hearted but a bit anti-social or shy. They could be lazy to act and don’t enjoy going out of their comfort-zone. They could also easily be described as dreamers. They hardly take initiative but they’re good at almost anything they want to do. Most people are jealous of a Mage’s abilities and they could often be teased. Mages most likely don’t like being wrong.

Bearing in mind that a person’s alignment is very important in this case, if a person really is dead set on being a bad person, the personality traits would differ. You get good and bad in all the classes. Multi-classing is often seen too, if just one of the three classes doesn’t quite sound like you, then you’re probably a combination of the two with one being more dominant. I am personally more of a Rogue than anything else, I like sneaking around and I lie a lot and well (not proud of it) and I like having stuff, especially valuable or shiny stuff. My brother, Wulf, I would say is more of a Warrior, he’s kind, he’s a leader and he’s really protective of his family, he excels at what he loves and everybody likes him.

This is just my opinion that I found by studying people around me and comparing their personality traits. If you don’t agree with anything I’ve said then I can’t change that and I wouldn’t try.

Greetings

Hello  there, my name is Blinky Sparkz. I used to write short 'rants' for a webcomic which then spontaneously combusted. Seeing as I kind of miss writing about silly things or just giving my random view on life, I decided to do it here.
